Duathlon in Bilbao on 17 and 18 September

It is estimated that around 1,100 people will participate in the duathlon on 17 and 18 September. This sport will cover on foot several emblematic areas of Bilbao, including the Plaza Arriaga or the City Hall. The bicycle section will pass through other of the most touristic areas of Bilbao: the Guggenheim Museum and the Salve Bridge. Cross Duathlon in Enkarterri-Balmaseda on 20 September

The   Duathlon Cross Competition   will be held in Balmaseda. For this sporting activity, about 400 athletes are expected, who will travel many kilometers by mountain bike and then trail running, although the distances will be somewhat smaller for the Junior and Paratriathlon categories.

 

 

Aquathlon in Portugalete-Getxo on 23 September

The athletes who compete in the Europe Championship of Aquathlon  will face each other on Friday, September 23 in Portugalete-Getxo. The Bizkaia Bridge will be the protagonist of this event, where more than 400 people are expected to cover 1000 meters in the swimming modality and 5 in the walking course.

 

 

Cross Triathlon in Udaibai-Bermeo on 22 September

The Elite, Sub23, Junior, Paratriathlon, Elder Groups and Open categories will meet on September 22nd at the European Triathlon Cross Championship.   One thousand meters will bring face to face a multitude of athletes in the swimming competition, which will be followed by 22 kilometers of BTT cycling and 7.6 kilometers of race on foot. The different competitions will start at different points; the swimming will take place on the pier until you reach Lamera Park; the bicycle segment will run through the neighborhoods of Demiku, Bazaran and Artike; finally, the race on foot will take place in Bermeo.

 

 

Aquabike Championship in Bilbao on 24 September

1,900 meters and 82.5 kilometers of cycling. This is how intense the Aquabike championship to be held in Bilbao on September 24 is positioned, which also has an estimated participation of 300 athletes.

Nearly a thousand athletes, including those in the Open category, will face distances of 1,900 meters in swimming, 82.5 kilometers of cycling and 21 km on foot. Elite, Paratriathlon and Elder Groups are invited to participate in an event that is expected to gather thousands of fans on the streets.

During the registration process at the Europe Multi-Sport Triathlon Championship, each athlete will receive:

-An accreditation in the form of a bracelet

-A welcome gift (still to be determined)

-An envelope with the race number, stickers for the helmet (except for Aquathlon), sticker for the bike (except Aquathlon) and sticker for the wardrobe.

-Tattoos

-Swimming cap (Triathlon Cross, Aquathlon, Aquabike and Triathlon MD)

-Bike plate (for Duathlon Cross and Triathlon Cross).
